because I feel like it.

I'll do this for me and Jared
A - Age: 29; 36
B - Bed size: queen
C - Chore you hate: umm... any of them? for both of us, getting up in the morning. That is a chore. Poor Jared has to do it at 5 on workdays.
D - Dog's names: used to be Max. Good riddance.
E - Essential to start your day: I'm not sure what this means. Extra sleep is good by either of us
F - Favorite color: me- purple. Jared- "green, I guess"
G - Gold or Silver: silver or white gold
H - Height: 5'5", 6'1" or 2"
I - Instruments you play(ed): piano and flute. J- sax once upon a time
J - Job title: mommy; daddy and manufacturing craftsman
K - Kid(s): Kavi, Bryson, Ramie, Maya, and Addison
L - Living arrangements: a ranch with a basement on a corner lot with a fenced in backyard. 3 basement bedrooms occupied by parents and little girls. Two main floor bedrooms occupied every few weeks by three tweens and teens
M-Mom's name: Kim; Carol
N - Nicknames: Shanny Banany, Mom, Mommy; Jar-edd, Dad, Daddy, and of course all those revolting pet names
O - Overnight hospital stay other than birth: I think I stayed when I got my hernias fixed at age 3. And the loony bin, of course. Jared had his appendix out a few years ago
P - Pet Peeve: where do I begin...
Q - Quote from a movie: the one in my head right now is "look at the bright side, he's got more room in his jocket shorts."
R - Right or left handed: Right for both of us
S - Siblings: Sean and Caitlin; Brian, Kelly, Steve, Julie, Lisa, Eric, and David
T - Time you wake up: whenever Maya gets up (besides the middle of the night feedings for Addison); 5 or so on workdays, Maya time on non workdays (Jared is a dear and lets me sleep in while he takes kid duty)
U - Underwear: the usual in its varying shades of white
V - Vegetable you dislike: onions, mushrooms, and olives. if those are all considered veggies. Jared's not a big fan of "fresh" green beans (canned are ok)
W- Ways you run late: sleeping late; kids' needs, losing track of time
X - X-rays you've had: teeth
Y - Yummy food you make: I make lots of yummy dinners! :) and I make GREAT pumpkin and banana breads. Jared makes odd but tasty mixtures of pasta, beans, meat, tomatoes- that sort of thing.
Z - Zoo favorite: when they have a nice, big habitat. The zoo in seattle had a pretty big "african plain" (I put that in quotes because it is certainly far from the African climate) and I was happy for those animals.

ok, I guess that's it. Very exciting reading, I know

Decorating for Christmas

We decorated for "FHE" (which we basically never actually do) on the 5th. With no money and barely being able to keep my house clean as it is, for the first time in my life, I was ok with a fake tree. It was in the attic, so out it came. And Maya said one day it's the best tree ever.

I was trying to get a picture of Addison while holding her. I have bad aim

dancing, dancing

I think this picture is so cute

our dollar store stockings. I was so excited to find the
pink one on the left for Addison this year

ornaments hung by Maya. she did a great job!

tada! (yes, I've seen better, too)

Early December

Kavi's basketball game on December 2nd. She's #32!

I love my Addison's sweet face!

Ramie

Bryson

Ramie again

Matchy Matchy girls on December 4th. Both their dresses were way too small. I kept putting off having them wear them as I waited for cooler weather, then I wouldn't have time to take pictures before church, but finally knew I had to get them on them- especially Addison- she's getting fatter every day! Maya had black leggings under her way-too-short dress and Addison had pink tights.

Maya's crazy smile

Early November

I was VERY blessed on the flight back from Georgia- the flight was only half (if that) full, so the girls and I had an entire row to ourselves (and very few people around for them to bother!). I was also brave- packed my pump and bottles in the checked baggage and only nursed Addison- I got more comfortable with nursing while in GA, and we are now pro's!
these "burritos" are my favorite invention

Maya got to play with awesome stuff I got half price at Michael's

Goofy faced cute girl

One day Maya was so helpful with the laundry
("folded" the outside piles. She loves to hinder help)

Maya decided she needed to sleep next to Addison
(who now would NEVER sleep like this- she has to be swaddled)

November 10th.... the ripe old age of two-days-before three months old. I gave Addison this toy. She'd started grasping things and decided to try to hold this and get it in her mouth. She'd get it to her mouth then get SO MAD because she couldn't get it in right or suck on it. She was crying like it was the end of the world. Then she'd get over it and try again. The cycle repeated several times. It was amusing.

And Maya played with connect 4- she's happy
filling it and emptying it over and over and over
I hate you, Mom!
(Maya wore this outfit at 4 mos;
here Addison is at 3 and did NOT
want me to take pictures of her!)

This was November 15th- a rare sunny day, so we bundled up and went outside. Addison's hat is a hippo (there is an outfit to go with it). I put a dishtowel over her because the swing's straps were purty icky.

A few last Georgia pics

I let my ever-so-cooperative-for-pictures child wear her jammies to the temple. I'm that cool

Trying to get one of the two of us...

Somewhere I have a picture of Maya in this shirt, in this chair, but I can't find it at the moment (it's on a disc somewhere). Is it bad I think Addison is a much cuter baby than Maya was? (although she looks goofy in the second picture :) )
